About Me

I am a second-career dietitian practicing in the Omaha, Nebraska area. Nutrition has been a passion of mine almost all of my life. I find it fascinating how much food can impact nearly every facet of our health and believe what we eat is so vitally important to how we feel as a whole. My goal through my private practice is to help others discover and foster this powerful nutrition connection in their own lives.

I grew up in Ohio where I attended the University of Dayton for my first degree in Computer Engineering. After a stint in the software industry, I learned my true interests were in health and wellness. Around the age of 30, I went back to school full time to pursue a degree in nutrition. Becoming a Registered Dietitian was always the goal because I knew I wanted the knowledge and experience necessary to truly be considered an expert.

I completed my Nutrition and Food Science degree at Middle Tennessee State University. After that, I attended The Ohio State University for my dietetic internship (clinical rotations) allowing me to accumulate the necessary hours to sit for my registration exam. I passed the exam in spring of 2021, finally becoming an RD!

Since then I have held several positions, including both nutrition tech and clinical positions. My most meaningful position was acting as the RD and Director of Nutrition at a 100-bed skilled nursing facility in Hendersonville, TN. There I regularly treated a wide variety of acute and chronic disease states and used food to help the residents thrive.

I certified by the CDR as a Registered Dietitian #86169970 and licensed to practice in the State of Nebraska as a Medical Nutrition Therapist #1774.
